Can Gmail be used Offline? Here’s the answer to your question

Email services like Gmail or any other service require an active internet connection in order for customers to monitor their mail inbox, receive new mail, and respond to it. The service’s sudden shutdown if an internet connection is lost or there is a bad signal may be the biggest nuisance for Gmail users. To counteract these issues, Google has made it possible to use Gmail without an active internet connection.

Activate Gmail Offline: Only users of the desktop versions of Gmail can access this feature. When offline mail mode for Gmail is enabled, users will be able to use almost all of its functions without an internet connection. They may access their inbox, read messages that have been marked as unread, and even send new messages to recipients. However, confirm that Google Chrome is installed on your machine. It’s also important to know that Incognito mode is not supported; only a Chrome browser window can be used to access Gmail offline.

Here’s the guide to use Gmail offline

  • Go to your desktop and open Gmail.
  • The settings icon is located in the top right corner of your screen. Click on it.
  • Choose the option to “See all settings.”
  • Select the offline tab.
  • Press the button to activate offline mail.
  • Click the Save changes option after deciding whether to save offline data or not.

When the offline mode is engaged, Gmail will automatically sync your most recent emails for offline access and preserve them for a certain period of time, ranging from 7 days to 90 days.
No matter how irregular your internet connection may be, Gmail will always deliver all of your emails to your outbox and download a lite version of any incoming emails.
