Check Out this New Concept Design for the Mail App in Apple’s Much Awaited iOS 17

Apple will make the iOS 17 custom UI available with its upcoming iPhone 15 series smartphones and for developers, it is expected that the Cupertino based company will make it available to developers after the WWDC(Worldwide Developers Conference) for testing purposes.

Now we have with us a concept design for a redesigned Mail App in iOS 17. Let’s check it out and see how it is different from the Mail App that we see in iOS 16.

A New Concept Design for a Redesigned Mail App

The first thing an iOS user will notice about this new concept design is the new user interface that brings better filtering to the app. One will find different filtering options in the shape of pills that are placed just above the recent message.

Above the filters, there is also a search bar that is added inside the inbox. This is a new addition that is absent in the Mail App that we find in iOS 16.

The other thing to be noticed is the way in which the messages are displayed. We find a card layout in the concept design and this enables its users to have a quick view of the messages and the attachments with it, at the same time offering a very clear view.

Regarding the top and bottom ends of the Mail App, everything remains the same as that of iOS 16. At the top, on the left-hand side, there is the back button to the “Mailboxes” menu, and on the right-hand side, we can find the “Edit” option. At the bottom, on the left, there is the alignment button and at the right end, there is the “Add” button. In a centrally aligned manner, there is information that points to when the app was last updated and the number of unread messages.

To sum up, what we get to see in the concept design is a clean and neat, redesigned Mail App with a better UI, better filtering option and a better quick view for the messages.
