Connecting With Friends On Instagram Now Becomes More Fun With New Updates Rolled Out To Notes; New Web Layout for Threads Released And Limits Tool Expanded On Instagram For Teens
Instagram- the widely used social media app that lets users connect with their friends, family, and outer world is used by almost everyone nowadays. Instagram users get to see new layouts, tools, or features from time to time which makes connecting with new people or starting a conversation with friends more interesting. Last month, new stickers for stories were dropped on Instagram that let users post secretly, create custom stickers, and more.
Well, this month has just started, and again a new update is being rolled out for Instagram.
New Updates Rolled Out To Notes On Instagram
Instagram is rolling out new updates to Notes making it easier for users to spark a conversation, express themselves, and connect with friends. The new updates include-
- Notes Prompts– Pose thoughts and musings with a prompt to get your friends and mutuals to chime in
- Notes Likes– Quickly react to your friends’ notes with likes. To like a note, double tap the note or click the heart icon in the reply sheet
- Notes @ Mentions– Get Your friends’ attention by @ mentioning them directly in a note
With these updates, conversing via Notes on Instagram becomes more fun for the users out there. Other than this update, a new web layout for threads is also rolled out which will help users in keeping things simple with a single column, or add separate columns for your favorite searches, accounts, saved posts, notifications, and more. Users can also turn on auto-update to see new content appear in real-time.
A new way to protect teens on Instagram is also being introduced. Earlier there was a Limits tool on the app that helps limit interactions like comments, DMs, tags, and mentions to their core community like long-time followers or only people they follow back. These tools were useful for creators who have a long list of followers or want to concentrate on long-time followers.
Well, Instagram has now expanded Limits so people, particularly teens on the platform can limit those same interactions with Close friends in case they want to keep their content close.
