DONOT install OxygenOS 13 F.19 for OnePlus 9/9 Pro, company issues notice
OnePlus recently released OxygenOS 13 F.19 for OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro bringing Android security patches for January 2023 and a few bug fixes to devices. Early adopters, who installed this update on their devices, reported that they were unable to boot their devices following the update.
Considering this issue, today on its community forum OnePlus team posted that they noticed that a few users have been facing an issue with this update, and in order to safeguard other users from this issue they have immediately stopped the rollout and are investigating this issue. The company has urged the users not to install the update and also assured the users that they will be working on a new release that will roll out to all users as soon as possible.
The company has apologized to the users regarding this issue and those who have already installed the update and are affected by the bug are suggested to reach out to the nearest Service center. OnePlus team has also assured the users that the staff will be able to revert their devices to their previous state without any data loss.
Also, the company has clarified that when you visit a Service Center regarding this issue, it will be free of cost for the members. In case you still see the update on your devices, you should avoid installing that on your devices.
You can also submit bugs by opening the Google Dialer and typing *#800#. You will find a menu that allows you to submit bugs. Please bear in mind this method is only available in India for the time being.
