Fortunate Beta users will get to enjoy another great feature by WhatsApp which is Companion Mode, check here
The most used messaging app WhatsApp will now allow its users to sync their WhatsApp accounts to other devices like Tablets with prior chat history by much-hyped “Companion Mode”. WhatsApp has already been rolling out several new features like Communities, self-chat, filter by unread, and more.
It is available for WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.22.24.18, the feature was first spotted by WABetaInfo earlier in May this year and was reportedly under development.
The companion mode is currently limited to web clients and PC applications.
What this means: Now you can use two different devices with one WhatsApp account and phone number.
How to use WhatsApp Companion Mode:
Open WhatsApp on your phone.
Tap settings> Link a device
After tapping on it you’ll be able to see a QR code which you have to scan from your primary device to use on your secondary device.
How it works:
After linking app will sync your chat history on your secondary device. But as the feature is currently in beta, certain features like the ability to view live locations and manage broadcast lists and stickers are currently unavailable.
