Get ready to experience Android 11 on Windows 11, Here is what you need to do
After months of expectation and fanfare, Microsoft’s Windows Subsystem for Android has finally debuted. While Insider machines have had access to the functionality for nearly six months, it is now available to anybody with a compatible device running Windows 11 version 21H2.
According to Microsoft’s FAQ page for Android beta support, your device must meet roughly five essential requirements in order to execute mobile apps effectively. Although there isn’t a complete list of PCs that presently support the Android release, if your device fulfils the Windows 11 criteria, it should be able to run mobile apps.
You’ll need a device that runs Windows 11 version 21H2 or newer, has at least 8GB of RAM (rather than the 4GB required by Windows 11), and is powered by a Microsoft-certified processor. Additionally, on the optional features tab, you must enable the virtual machine platform capability.
The following is a complete list of requirements:
8 GB (minimum) and 16 GB (maximum) RAM (recommended).
Solid State Drive (SSD) is a type of storage device (SSD).
Processor: Your device must support Windows 11, which means it must have a Core i3 8th Gen, Ryzen 3000, Snapdragon 8c, or higher processor.
Type of processor: x64 or ARM64.
Platform for Virtual Machines: This is an optional setting for virtualization that you must enable from Control Panel.
I have an Amazon account.
Make sure your device’s region is set to the United States with English if you wish to download and run 1,000 or more Android apps from Amazon AppStore.
You can download and install Windows 11’s newest optional update (KB5010414), which contains a public preview of Android apps, if you fulfil the necessary prerequisites. On Windows 11, users in the United States can access over 1,000 Amazon AppStore items, including popular programmes and games.
Audible, Kindle, Subway Surfers, and a slew of other apps fall under this category.
The Microsoft Store’s Amazon Store integration allows you to download Android apps on Windows 11 exactly like any other Microsoft Store software.
The Microsoft Store will help you find these apps, but the Amazon Appstore will handle the downloading.
As we previously reported, Android compatibility in Windows 11 is the consequence of Microsoft’s contribution to the Windows Subsystem for Linux.
Intel Bridge Technology supports Android integration, which is developed on top of the open-source Android platform. You can manually sideload apps without changing your location or language to the United States because Android support is not limited to Amazon AppStore (English).
