Google improvises Android branding with a new logo and 3D Bugdroid
Remember the times when Android versions were named after desserts Android 9 was called Android Pie but then Google decided to change this naming style and the versions were simply denoted as Android 10, and Android 11 in order to make it simpler for users to identify the latest version of Android. Now after years, Google has once again decided to refresh the Android branding.
Google has refreshed the Android branding with a new logo and 3D bug droid to give a more dynamic and playful feel to the appearance of Android’s branding. The new Android logo will be having a uppercase “A” instead of the lowercase “A” while the Android logo typeface resembles the Google typeface more closely. The new changes are said to be inspired by Material design.
Apart from the logo, Android Robot has also received some noticeable changes like the bug droid has received a 3D look with colorful variations. As per Google, “ this new look can easily transition between digital and real-life environments, making it a versatile and reliable companion across channels, platforms and contexts.”
Google has revealed that these changes will start to appear this year. It is assumed that we might see these changes with the arrival of Android 14 OS. Google is nearing the launch of the Google Pixel 8 series and the latest smartwatches in an upcoming event. It is believed that in the same event, the Android 14 version will also be released.
