Google is testing it’s improved “powerful search” for Google Photos for complex queries
Memories being the most important part of life needs to be kept in a safe and secure place that is accessible when you need it. And Google Photos is one such place where you can access your old memories captured in the form of videos and images but the issues arise when it comes to access. Google is reportedly testing a new powerful upgrade that will make it easier for users to search in the library.
This news has been reported by 9to5 Google in which it mentioned that some of the users visiting photos.google.com have started seeing a pop-up message. This message appears just below the “search your photos” in the blue box prompting users to “try a more powerful search”.
Then Google explains to users how they can locate an image using more detailed search phrases such as “colourful sunset” or “peaceful garden”. Now having a large library of photos makes it hard to access a photo when required but such a detailed search option will make it way more easier than it was ever before.
To appreciate this development made by Google you can go to the search bar to search for an image in Google Photos. Suppose you searched for a colorful sunset, undoubtedly it will still show you a sunset image from your library but sorted by the date whereas its new powerful search will sort images by relevance instead by date.
One more feature that will excite you the most is its search for the tagged faces. If you have tagged faces you will be able to search for the pictures with those people at certain locations such as “Charlie at the golden bridge”, and “Mark in the Park”.
A Google spokesperson confirming this update said to 9to5 Google is “always experimenting with new ways to help people find and relive their photos and videos. This experiment allows people to search for more complex queries to help them find the photos and videos they’re looking for more easily.”
