Google Play Store takes down another set of four malware apps which carry Joker malware and affect users’ devices once the victim downloads it. Moreover, these apps have recorded more than 100,000 downloads.
However, Pradeo cybersecurity researchers have reported to Google about this Joker malware app. Pradeo posted a blog to warn people about these malicious apps which can damage the users devices.

How does this malicious app work?
Joker malware apps are basically malicious code which is hidden in Android applications and websites. It steals users data and infects apps in Google Play Store while changing its malicious code.
Such apps are always on alert if they’re been spotted by Google Play Store. Also, such malicious apps are difficult to be detected because the developers keep switching their methods to bypass detection.
However, these malicious app developers execute their applications to gain money from the victims by committing fraud and making in-app purchases.
According to Pradeo, Malicious app developers develop apps in such a way that it extremely looks like a real app and not a fake. But there are some ‘tell-tale signs that can alert users that what they might be about to download could be malware,’ Pradeo Cybersecurity added.
Hence, Google Play Store has taken down these four malicious apps when Pradeo warned about the same.
