Google Unveils Offerwall Beta Program for News Publishers and Bloggers

Google launches something new almost every month. Recently, we reported that Google introduced a price filter in its search, and we’ve observed its implementation. Now, Google has introduced the Offerwall Beta program for news publishers and bloggers. It resembles a paywall, but it’s directly from Google.

What is this Offerwall Beta Program all about?

  1. You set a pageview threshold for users accessing content on your site. When users reach this threshold, they encounter your Offerwall.
  2. If users opt to watch a short ad, they will view a video or image ad lasting 30 seconds or less.
  3. Upon completing the ad, users regain access to your site.
  4. If users decline to watch a short ad, their access to your site remains restricted until either their page views reset the following month or until they opt to watch the ad.

How to get started with the Offerwall beta program?

First, log in to your AdSense account and click on the “Privacy & Messaging” tab located on the left-hand side. Then, select the “Offerwall Beta Card” option. Keep in mind that since this feature is in beta, it’s only available to a limited number of members. Failure to activate it may result in Google removing this option.

Once you’ve accessed the Offerwall Beta Card, you can customize the message that users will see. You have the option to add your logo, and currently, only the “View an Ad” option is available.

Now those who are looking for this new option, head over to your AdSense account and see if you have this card available.
