Google Updates Bard with Image Responses: The New Feature can Now be Accessed

Google’s I/O developer conference which took place early this month on the 10th of May 2023, had summed up a lot of updates and features the company is planning to bring to Bard, the company’s AI chatbot. Now Google has brought a new update to Bard which allows the chatbot to give image responses to its users for relevant prompts.

Here’s more about it.

Google’s Bard Now Supports Images in Responses

Starting from the 23rd of May 2023, Google’s AI chatbot, Bard will bring in images in its responses to relevant prompts from its users. The feature will only be available for English responses at the moment and in the future will be expanded to other languages. The images that will be shared with the responses are from Google’s Search and will be displayed along with their source. Users will also be able to visit the source by tapping on the image.

It will not just be for responses to relevant prompts, but users can also ask for a list of images, for example, “pictures of dog breeds” and Bard will bring in images of different dog breeds from Search along with its source.

Google on its Bard updates page states that images are very important and will help in communicating ideas much better and effectively. Google further adds that images will be able to bring concepts to life, make recommendations much more persuasive, and at the same time will enhance responses when visual information is asked.

There are many more updates Google is planning to bring to Bard and this includes support for more languages, the ability to generate Bard’s own images, and also the feature to prompt Bard with the images from Google Lens.

Stay tuned for these updates and try out the new image response feature on Bard yourself.
