Google’s latest feature drop brings a lot of new features for Pixel smartphones, smartwatches and fitbits

Google brings a series of updates for the Pixel Phone, Pixel Watch, and Fitbit devices. The rollout for the update has begun and will continue over the next few weeks.

For Pixel Phones

Enhanced safety

Its new Google Assistant feature will allow users to start emergency sharing or to schedule a safety check. In case you don’t respond to the safety check, your emergency contacts will be notified and your real-time location will be shared. Car Crash detection will not only contact emergency services in a severe crash but will also share your real-time location with your emergency contacts.

Photos and videos

Now users will be able to take stunning videos, down to the smallest details because Pixel 7 Pro’s Macro Focus is now available for video. Users of Pixel 6 and newer phones will also be able to take self-timed photos by raising their palms to trigger the timing.

Live Wallpaper

Pixel smartphones will use AI in order to transform the 2D wallpaper photos into dynamic 3D scenes thus making it appear like a 3D live wallpaper. The update will also allow users to create live wallpapers using 4,000 emoji with different patterns and colors.

With the update, users will be able to transfer the transcript of the recording to Google Docs. Smart haptics, smart home controls, and adaptive charging are also some of the notable updates.

Pixel Smartwatches

Smartwatches incorporated with multiple health monitoring features make sure to keep you updated about your body metrics that include heart rate, breathing, and SpO2 level. The same goes with the Pixel Smartwatches but with the update, users will be able to keep a better track of their health.

Pixel Smartwatches will not be able to check your oxygen saturation (SpO2) and help you identify changes in your level of oxygen. It will keep track of heart rate all day and night and notify in case unusual change is observed.

With Wear OS Google Assistant is ready to help in Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Polish, and Spanish. You can also enjoy podcasts and music from Spotify on your smartwatch.

Google Fitbit

The update makes it easy for users to access the modes directly from Fitbit without opening the Fitbit mobile app. You can easily check your Daily Readiness score in order to improve every day.

The new Menstrual health tile allows users to take a glance at the cycle state without opening the app on the smartphone screen. Now you can change the clock face easily and read notifications in more languages thus giving you freedom to use it the way you want it to use.

Google announced the update in its blog post written by Shenaz Zack, Director, of Product Management at Google.
