Indian Spotify listeners will no longer be able to use these features without premium subscription
Spotify has made some changes to its free service in order to make Indian listeners spend some bucks for it. Indian Spotify listeners won’t be able to play songs in a specific order, repeat songs, or listen to the previous songs.
Now only Premium Spotify listeners can access these features on Spotify. As per the report by TechCrunch, the company said that it has made these changes in the free tier because the market has matured now. Spotify has also said that despite India being in the top five countries in terms of monthly active users, it doesn’t fall under top markets in terms of subscribers, TechCrunch reported.
The company can soon launch the Smart Shuffle in India. This will automatically suggest songs as per your taste and songs that you are listening to.
