Lenovo and Motorola announce a new update to Smart Connect; Includes new Moto AI features

Last year at MWC 2024, Lenovo and Motorola officially unveiled their Smart Connect solution. Now, this year at MWC 2025, the companies have announced a new update to their Smart Connect platform that integrates new Moto AI features to enhance users’ multi-device experience.

Smart Connect gets a new update

With the new update, users can trigger Moto AI through a voice or text command to execute tasks like casting the content of their phone to their Miracast-supported TV or extending it to their PC or tablet through Wi-Fi or USB-C. Users get a new AI Search feature within Smart Connect that lets them use natural language to resurface documents on the Lenovo YOGA Tab Plus (16GB) tablet. With the help of this feature, users can even request specific files like restaurant receipts and Smart Connect will supposedly retrieve it for you in seconds.

The update also includes a new customizable dashboard that shows users all of their compatible devices, including Moto Tag, Moto Buds, and even their PC, in one place. With this new dashboard, users can manage, add, or disconnect devices and check their battery life. This update also includes third-party integration, expanding select Smart Connect features to a wide range of Android users.

Smart Connect new update: Availability

This latest Smart Connect update will be available on any Windows 10 or later PC through the Microsoft store in the coming weeks. It will also be coming to select Lenovo tablets and Motorola devices through the Google Play Store.
