LinkedIn Won’t Be The Same Boring Place Again, With New Gaming Features
Microsoft-owned professional networking platform LinkedIn is venturing into gaming, the report suggests. The platform is famous for job search, professional networking, and much more. It won’t be the same boring place anymore after the introduction of games on the platform. As per the code snippets discovered by the app researcher Nima Owji, LinkedIn is probably exploring a new unique feature that will associate the player scores with their workplace and rank companies based on scores.
This sounds interesting though a LinkedIn spokesperson has said that the images shared are not the most recent version. A report by TechCrunch mentions that LinkedIn is reportedly developing three puzzle-based games “Queens”, “Inference” and “Crosslimb”. The report also mentions the LinkedIn spokesperson statement who said: “We’re playing with adding puzzle-based games within the LinkedIn experience to unlock a bit of fun, deepen relationships, and hopefully spark the opportunity for conversations. Stay tuned for more!”
Nothing for sure can be said now though it’s not the first attempt of a nongame platform to venture into the gaming domain. A few of them have found great fortune while few understood that it’s not their cup of tea. And the same goes with Facebook which had to close its standalone gaming app in 2022 due to low user engagement and usage.
