Motorola’s New Mobile Assistant App
As mentioned above, the Mobile Assistant app of Motorola is now made available to users on the Google Play Store and it has a total size of only 5.27 MB. The primary goal of the app is to assist users to transfer data from their old mobile device to a new Motorola smartphone. Also to note, the app as of now is compatible with only Motorola, Lenovo, and Samsung devices that run on Android 8 or later.
The transfer process involves users to connect their old and new devices to the same WiFi, then after allowing the necessary permissions on both the devices, hit ‘Receive Data’ on the new device and ‘Send Data’ on the old device. Users will also have to select all the data that has to be shared. Once the old device icon pops up on the new device, tap on it to establish the connection and then receive files. To add, only device to device support is available via the app and cloud storage is not included in the data transfer.
Additionally, the app also provides a ‘Hardware Test’ functionality too, and users will be able to find hardware information by clicking on it. Notably, it also shows certain battery specs as well, which includes current power, battery condition, battery temperature, charging status, maximum battery capacity, and voltage.
