Safety Check for Chrome will run automatically in the background
Google Chrome’s new security and performance features will make the platform more secure and convenient than before. As per the blog post by the company now Security Check for Chrome will run automatically in the background.
And in case if password saved has been compromised, any potentially harmful extension is open, the Chrome version is not updated or site permission needs attention you will be notified. Users will be able to see these notifications in a three-dot menu.
The Safety Check work has been extended up to revoking the access to the location or microphone of a particular site that was visited a long ago. In case a website that you are not engaged with is sending a lot of notifications will also be flagged so that you can block it.
As a new feature, Chrome will let you save tab groups that will be accessible to you across devices. A detail has also been introduced for the tab that tells your tab’s memory usage in Memory Saver Mode. And it will also tell you potential memory saved when they go inactive.
Google also said that it would bring “smarter” and “more helpful” features to Chrome earlier next year that will be powered by its AI model Gemini.
