Samsung confirms the battery drainage issue associated with Samsung Keyboard app included in the latest version(One UI 5.1)

Galaxy Unpacked event not only witnessed the launch of Galaxy S23 series smartphones but also One UI 5.1 which brought some major and minor changes. Later the One UI 5.1 firmware was rolled out for the other Galaxy models upgraded to Android 13 OS. But nobody knew at that time that this firmware would not just bring new exciting features but also the battery drainage issue. Now finally Samsung community moderator in Thailand has confirmed this by writing “We have confirmed that the Samsung Keyboard app included in the latest version(One UI 5.1) has increased battery usage” on the community page.

He has also mentioned the main culprit behind this drainage of battery. It is none other than newly added stickers and emojis functions. To resolve this issue Samsung released an update to the Samsung Keyboard app. So make sure to follow the steps mentioned below to upgrade the Samsung Keyboard application to the latest version (v5.6.10.31)

Galaxy store>Menu>Updates>Samsung Keyboard>Update
Samsung Keyboard>Setting>About Samsung Keyboard>Tap the Update button
If even after updating the issue is not resolved, try clearing the cache and data.
