Samsung Officially Rolls Out Irregular Heart Rhythmic Notification (IHRN) Feature For Galaxy Watches In India

The South Korean tech giant Samsung is quite famous among consumers for introducing highly advanced Galaxy smartwatches that not only arrive with long battery life and calling features but are also equipped with some really hi-tech health and fitness features.

Samsung will now be improving the user experience by rolling out the Irregular Heart Rhythmic Notification Feature in the Samsung Health Monitor app for selected smartwatches in India.

This feature will help the users detect heart rhythms suggestive of atrial fibrillation (AFib), offering a more comprehensive understanding of their heart health. This feature will be available for the Galaxy Watch 4 series and above in India. IHRN feature continuously checks for irregular rhythms using a BioActive sensor. If the measurements are found to be irregular, users are warned of potential AFib activity prompting them to take an ECG using their watch.

With the existing blood pressure and heart rate monitoring, this new feature is said to provide users with even deeper insights into their cardiovascular health.

To enable this feature, all you need to do is update the Samsung Health monitor app on your device via Galaxy Store and then enable the IHRN feature from the settings menu on the app. Do note that the feature is currently available for those using a Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
