Samsung’s Knox Vault Coming to Select Galaxy A-Series Devices: Officially Announced

Samsung very recently conducted its developers conference of 2023 in San Francisco on the 5th of October 2023, yesterday, and the brand has made an exciting announcement. Knox Vault, a hardware-based solution that helps improve the overall security and safety of Samsung devices, is coming to the brand’s Galaxy A-series devices soon.

Here’s more about it.

Knox Vault Coming to Select Galaxy A-Series Devices

Knox Vault was first introduced with the Galaxy S21 series devices that were launched two years back and to date, the feature has only been made available to Samsung’s flagship devices. The Galaxy S-series, Galaxy Z-series, as well as the Galaxy Tab S8 and Tab S9 series devices that were unveiled in 2021 and later, came with Knox Vault equipped within the device.

Speaking about Samsung’s Knox Vault, as mentioned, it is a hardware-based solution that has been designed as a tamper-proof subset that works independently and is in no way connected with the primary chipset of the device. It has a separate processor, memory, and also a non-volatile secure storage unit.

At the Samsung Developer Conference 2023, the brand has now officially announced that the Knox Vault platform, which has been an exclusive feature for the brand’s flagship devices, is also going to arrive in mid-range devices of its Galaxy A-series that are to be launched next year, in 2024, with the latest One UI 6.0 custom skin.

It should however be noted that the brand had mentioned “selected Galaxy A-series smartphones”, pointing out that not all the devices will be featuring it.

Along with the Galaxy A-series devices, Samsung’s Neo QLED 8K TVs will also be getting the Knox Vault platform, by the end of this year itself.
