Truecaller Announces Android Wear OS Smartwatch Support
Truecaller, the caller identification and spam blocking app, has announced support for Android Wear OS smartwatches. This integration allows Truecaller users to access key features directly from their compatible wearable devices.
Truecaller’s Android Wear OS support works with smartwatches running Wear OS 3.0 and above, including models from brands like Fossil and Samsung.
To use Truecaller on an Android Wear OS smartwatch, users can install the app either through the Google Play Store on the watch or by downloading it via the Truecaller app on their paired smartphone. Once installed, Truecaller on the smartwatch offers features like:
- Viewing and managing incoming calls
- Identifying callers and accessing their information
- Accessing call history and contacts
However, for the caller identification feature to work seamlessly, Truecaller must be set as the default phone app on the smartwatch. This can be done through the device’s settings menu.
It’s important to note that Truecaller’s smartwatch integration is currently only available for Android users, as iOS support for Wear OS is not yet available.
This support for Android Wear OS smartwatches is Truecaller’s latest move to offer a more integrated user experience across multiple devices.
