Trump introduces a new social media network The Truth Social; Here is how you can download it

Former President Donald Trump’s firm, Trump Media and Technology Group, announced the launch of a new social network called TRUTH Social on Wednesday. According to a press statement, a test version will be accessible to invited visitors in November, with a countrywide deployment planned in the first quarter of 2022. The company’s stated goal is to “establish a challenger to the leftist media consortium and fight back against Silicon Valley’s ‘Big Tech’ businesses.”

The new business will be led by Trump, who claims the group’s purpose is to “establish a challenger to the leftist media consortium” and cites Trump’s private membership club Mar-A-Lago as its location.

“We live in a world where the Taliban has a sizable Twitter presence, but your favorite American president has been muted,” Trump said.

Following his postings on the January 6 rioting at the United States Capitol Building, Trump was famously blacklisted by key social media firms earlier this year.

The move isn’t completely unexpected. For months, Trump and his advisers have hinted that he may develop his own social media program to compete with Facebook and Twitter.

TRUTH Social is now available for pre-order in the Apple App Store, and a beta version will be available to invited visitors starting in November 2021, according to the news announcement. According to the press release, a national deployment is planned for the first quarter of 2022.

According to the press announcement, TMTG plans to establish a subscription video-on-demand service with “non-woke” entertainment content, news, and podcasts.
