Twitter becomes big after buying London-based mobile application Sphere
The microblogging website, Twitter, to ameliorate its services and satisfy its patrons, has acquired the London-based mobile application Sphere for facilitating group discussion and communication among the users. The online chatting app, Sphere, founded by Tomas Halgas and Nick D’ Aloisio, began its journey with a very unique mission of bringing a whole community of intellectuals, having experience in various fields, to share their knowledge through this app. The innovative endeavor explained in its blog post, that its intention towards developing this app, was to recruit certainly paid experts, from different parts of the world and connect them through a group chat.
The two founders of the $30 million start-ups in an interview with the public media even stated that “What we realized is that some of the most helpful and knowledgeable conversations came from groups where members felt a strong sense of belonging to one another. In other words, at the heart of our challenge was helping every single person find their community. The opportunity is massive.”
The founders found twitter’s community-building approach very impressive and decided to join hands with this micro-blogging site to reach a wider audience and promote their mission more strongly.
