Recently, WhatsApp posted a video of a feature that will help WhatsApp users appear offline temporarily. WhatsApp posted this video on their official Twitter account. This is a feature available in WhatsApp’s privacy settings. Here’s all that you should know about it.
How to go offline temporarily?
You can go to the privacy settings of your personal WhatsApp account. You can then go to Last Seen and Online. You can then click on Nobody. You are now offline.
The tagline used by WhatsApp for this feature is ‘A temporary pause to connect better later’.
Guess what? You can now go temporarily offline on your Android phone or iPhone. It is easy to go offline as per your need and convenience.
Once you are ready to go online, follow the entire process mentioned above in reverse mode. Nonetheless, let’s explain it here. Go to the Privacy Settings of your personal WhatsApp account. Go to Last Seen and Online. You can choose any of the options including Everybody, My Contacts, and My Contacts Except.
If you select ‘My Contacts Except’, you must add those contacts whom you do not want to show that you’re online. They would also not be able to check your Last Seen.
