Whatsapp users can soon switch to two accounts in a single app; officially confirmed
For the past months, WhatsApp has been testing new features for users in order to enhance their experience and make their work easier. Recently the company has rolled out a new feature ‘Protect IP address in calls’ in its beta version for Android and iOS. Meanwhile, earlier it was said that users will also be allowed to use multiple accounts in a single app only, a feature similar to that of Instagram.
Mark Zuckerberg has today officially announced that Whatsapp is rolling out the ability to switch between accounts on a single app. This new feature is said to be rolled out in the coming weeks for Android users.
Well, earlier many users used two Whatsapp accounts due to which either they need to carry two devices or log out each time from one account to log into another account. But now the users will be saved from the hustle and also from the worry of messaging from the wrong place. Users will be able to use two accounts on one phone only. The company has also mentioned that users will be able to manage separate notifications and privacy settings for each account.
To set up a second account on your device all you need to do is go to Settings and then to Add Account. To complete this process you will need your second phone with SIM or a phone with physical or eSIM facility for multi-SIM.
