Whatsapp users now allowed the choice to send HD photos in chat

Social media platforms have now become a part of our lives over the past few years. Whether it’s watching reels, videos or staying connected with the outer world everything is just at the tip of your fingers due to the growth and development and technology. One social media app that is constant in the older as well as a young generation- Whatsapp lets you stay connected with friends and family and their life.

To make the user experience more simple and fun, Meta always brings new features and updates for Whatsapp users. Recently the company has introduced an interesting Multi account feature using which you can use multiple Whatsapp accounts in one app. Just after a few days, Whatsapp has once again arrived with a new feature.

The choice to send HD photos in chat

The company earlier rolled out this feature for Whatsapp for iOS and Android in June and now it has officially released the feature for all users. With this new feature, the users will be given a choice to send photos either in standard quality (which is the default option) or in HD. HD photos will be marked “HD” in the bottom left corner.

Not only this the receiver can also choose on a photo-by-photo basis whether they want to keep the standard version or HD. This feature will be rolled out globally in the coming weeks.

How to send an HD photo?

  • Open the chat to which you wish to send the photo
  • Tap on the camera icon and select the photos to send
  • A pop-up will appear asking whether you want to send the photo in SD or HD
  • Select the preferred option and send it
