The new XIAOMI Smart Air Purifier 4 Has Been Launched, An Essential To Your Home?

The XIAOMI Smart Air Purifier 4 was the first product that was presented at the launch of Smarter Living Launch by Xiaomi. It is said to be the most advanced air purifier by Xiaomi to date. The air purifier filters visible and invisible pollution.

Features and specs

Smoke, industrial, automotive, and pet hair are the visible pollution and dust and dust mites, PM-10.PM-2.5, pollen germs, and cooking fumes are the invisible pollution that this Air Purifier is said to filter out. The filter includes a Pre-Filter, a HEPA Filter, an Activated Carbon Filter, and a Negative Ionizer.

The Pre-filter will take care of the big debris, the True HEPA filter with anti-bacterial and anti-viral coating, takes care of the smaller particles, and the Activated Carbon Filter, which has 83% more activated carbon than the previous generation, takes care of the smoke, odors, and Formaldehyde.

The air purifier has an effective coverage area of 301 sq. ft. to 516 sq. ft room space. There is a new improved CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) of 400m3/h.

It has an improved 3600 Air suction. The last air purifiers had a latch at the back where you could remove the air filter, which is disposed of up top and now makes the purifier intake air from all sides.

It is “Whisper Quiet” as the Chief marketing officer Anuj Sharma said at 32.1 dB. If the indicator light disturbs you, it can be turned off by choosing the Sleep mode. It has an Auto Mode where it automatically step-up the fan whenever it needs to, according to the room conditions. And there is a favorite mode too.

The touch control is an OLED Display Indicator. It shows the PM 2.5 amount in large numbers and the humidity, temperature, negative air ionizer, wi-fi signal, mode indication, and a green line which indicates when the surroundings are clean are given below it.

The green line turns yellow when the pollution goes up to a Low Pollution level, then turns orange to indicate Moderate Pollution, and finally, it turns red to indicate high pollution. Below all these indicators, are two buttons dedicated to turning on and off buttons and the mode-changing button inside the display.

To clean the fan, the top can be opened by removing the grill on top. The grill is child friendly so that little fingers can’t be inserted through it.

The Air Purifier can be controlled with a smartphone. The controls in the purifier are the Timer, Settings, Air Quality, Child Lock, and Filter Life. In the Timer, you can set a turn-on and turn-off period, In settings you can change all the settings to your preferences and the Air Quality can also be changed to your preferences. The filter will also tell you if it needs a change within the app.
