#Boycott_Amazon is trending on Twitter here’s why?

Before Republic Day, the full #Boycott Amazon movement began. Internet users are incensed because retailers on the e-commerce site Amazon have posted common things with the tricolor theme in advance of Republic Day. Vendors who once sold tricolored goods on the streets and in stores ahead of Republic Day have now switched to e-commerce sites like Amazon amid the mounting COVID-19 cases, which are primarily brought on by the Omicron variation.

When they discovered shoes, toilet seat covers, slippers, face masks, and other things with the Indian National Flag printed on them, netizens became particularly incensed.
As a response, on Twitter, there have been trends like #BoycottAmazon, #Amazon Insults National Flag, and #Boycott exotic India. Internet users urged their fellow residents to boycott Amazon as a way of expressing their rage against the platform.

After the matter faded, recently, #boycott_Amazon started trending again. It was because Amazon was selling goods that are offensive to Hindu religious sentiments on Twitter. Fury swiftly spread online after a Twitter user tweeted a picture of Amazon selling a number of toilet covers with an image of a Hindu deity on top, despite the fact that the item was not meant for sale in India. It is again trending on Twitter because ahead of Krishna Janmasthami, Users noticed Obscene painting of Lord Krishna-Radha is being sold on Amazon and Exotic India.

The whole #Boycott_Amazon and #Boycott_Exotic_India are trending because the netizens think it is playing with the sentiments of the Hindu Religion.
