Edward Snowden made a statement that how websites create privacy issues for its customers
Edward Snowden informs on how several online websites force its users to ‘click OK to continue button’, and how personal details are recorded.
Edward Joseph Snowden is an American former Computer Intelligence officer who worked with CIA, NSA, and DIA for over decade. He worked as a cybersecurity and technology expert.
Additionally, in 2013, Snowden revealed several classified information about NSA that it was illegally recording personal details of billions of people. His action led to the largest debate about reforms to US surveillance policy since 1978.
Later, he was honoured with Global Thinker of 2013 by Foreign Policy Magazine. However, he joined Freedom of the Press Foundation in 2014.
Freedom of the Press Foundation is a non profit organization which was founded in 2012 for supporting freedom of the speech and Freedom of the press.
Also, from 2016, he is named as the President of the Press Foundation. Currently, he works on empowering human rights through development of new technologies.
Today, he informed people on how Clicking on OK to proceed with, can hold your phone to a certain corporation. On his tweet, many people thanked him for this information.
The fact that is considered legal for a corporation to compile perfect records of your private life simply because you had to "click OK to continue" to make your phone work is a perfect expression of who holds the power in society and why they should be cast into the sea.
