Google won’t re-enable the call recording API
Privacy is the most important concern in today’s era when hackers are waiting to breach and sell your data for millions on different websites. A move that Android made in the Android 10 update was to block call recording on Android phones. This was related to privacy concerns and just after this Google also made a significant step. Basically even after Android blocked call recording on Android phones there were some apps on Play Store that could do call recording.
Because the call recording apps could bypass the blockage by using Accessibility API to keep recording calls. But Google removed all the third-party system call recording apps that could bypass the API. There were some reports suggesting that Google can re-enable the call recording API but Android-named users on Reddit suggest something else.
This user wrote that “Looks like Google has finally decided not to re-enable the call recording API which was disabled in Android a few years ago”. It means we won’t see the call recording things again on Android phones. But there are several phones in the market that let you record the call but let the user on the other side know about that too.
