Here is how you can send money to a mobile number on Google Pay

Google Pay is a mobile payment service developed by Google that enables users to make payments with Android phones, tablets, or watches in-app, online, and in-person. Users can use a PIN, passcode, or biometrics such as 3D face scanning or fingerprint recognition to authenticate themselves. It is currently available in 46 countries as of 2022.

How to Transfer Money Using a Phone Number

  • Choose the Phone number option under Transfer money.
  • Now, enter the recipient’s mobile phone number or tap the small contact icon to select the phone number.
  • At the bottom, press the blue Pay button.
  • Enter the amount and make a note of it.
  • Now, select the bank account from which you want to make this payment.
  • Enter your UPI PIN and tap Pay.
  • Then tap submit, and your transaction will be completed.

This is how you can use Google Pay to send money to any number. Because a phone number can be linked to multiple accounts, it is generally recommended to send money using a QR code. Every account linked to a UPI service has its own QR code. If your transaction fails, allow 2-3 business days for the money to be refunded to your bank account. If you haven’t received your refund within that time frame, contact your bank’s local branch.
