This might be a piece of good news, as Blinkit has now launched a new service through which you can order an Ambulance in India, and that too with a 10-minute TAT. This news came directly from the X account of Blinkit’s CEO Albinder Dhindsa. The company has launched this service in the Gurugram region only, which comes under Delhi NCR. Currently, they have a fleet of 5 ambulances which will start working from January 2nd, 2025. Though being limited to just one region, Albinder confirms that they will soon be scaling this service as well to other regions.
As per him, the turnaround time of these ambulances will be around 10 minutes. But we all know what the traffic conditions are. However, it is definitely a good initiative. Additionally, he states that profit is not the goal here, and the company wants to provide this service at an affordable price. Plus, the ambulance will have a paramedic staff, a trained driver, and an assistant. These ambulances will be equipped with essential life-saving equipment, including oxygen cylinders, an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), a stretcher, a monitor, a suction machine, and essential emergency medicines and injections. They don’t support neonatal or ventilator care.

He further mentions their aim is to expand this service to all major cities in the next two years. They didn’t specify the exact amount, but as per the screenshot shared, it will have a flat Rs. 2,000 fee. Let’s hope this service will benefit many patients who need ambulance service on an urgent basis.
