Samsung Announces Vision AI Platform, Partners with Microsoft and Google for Smart TV Features
Samsung Electronics introduced Samsung Vision AI at CES 2025’s First Look event, alongside new TV and display products. The announcement includes AI-powered features across their Neo QLED, OLED, QLED, and The Frame product lines.
“Samsung sees TVs not as one-directional devices for passive consumption but as interactive, intelligent partners that adapt to your needs,” said SW Yong, President and Head of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “With Samsung Vision AI, we’re reimagining what screens can do, connecting entertainment, personalization, and lifestyle solutions into one seamless experience to simplify your life.”
Samsung Vision AI includes:
- Click to Search: Provides information about on-screen content
- Live Translate: Offers real-time subtitle translations using on-device AI
- Generative Wallpaper: Creates custom screen backgrounds
- Home Insights: Delivers household environment updates and safety alerts via SmartThings
- Pet and Family Care: Monitors household members and adjusts room settings
The Neo QLED 8K QN990F, running on the NQ8 AI Gen3 Processor, features:
- 8K AI Upscaling Pro
- Auto HDR Remastering Pro
- Adaptive Sound Pro
- Color Booster Pro
- AI Mode for picture and sound optimization
The company introduced The Frame Pro with Neo QLED technology and Wireless One Connect. The Samsung Art Store now contains over 3,000 works from partners including MoMA and the estates of Magritte and Basquiat, available across Neo QLED and QLED models.
Samsung partnered with Art Basel, making The Frame their official art display. “As our mission is to power the world of art, having Samsung as our official global display partner is helping us break down physical and digital barriers, allowing more people to experience art in innovative and meaningful ways,” said Hayley Romer, Chief Growth Officer at Art Basel.
Other product announcements include The Premiere 5, a triple-laser ultra-short-throw projector with touch features and LightWARP technology, and the MICRO LED Beauty Mirror developed with Amorepacific.
Samsung announced partnerships with Microsoft to bring Copilot services to their Smart TVs and Smart Monitors, with plans to work with Google and other AI companies to expand Vision AI features. The company received a 2025 CES Innovation Award for Click to Search, Live Translate, the AI companion Ballie, and the Smart Monitor M9 with Copilot.
