Shaun King, a left-wing activist, appears to have deactivated his Twitter account after claiming today that Elon Musk’s decision to buy Twitter is motivated by “white power.”

Some have criticised the platform for censorship, but it appears that Musk intends to make free speech a priority for the large tech company.
Shaun King, on Twitter, wrote: “At its root. Elon Musk wanting to purchase Twitter is not about left versus right. It’s about White power. The man was raised in Apartheid by a White nationalist. He’s upset that Twitter won’t allow White nationalists to target, harass people. That’s his definition of free speech.”
Musk previously stated that he grew up in South Africa but left when he was 17 years old, “in part, to avoid conscription” he noted that “spending two years suppressing black people didn’t seem like a good use of time.”
So far, Musk hasn’t responded to all of this in detail.
