Indian Railways has added a new R-Wallet feature on the latest SwaRail application. The feature is currently available on the Android beta v.85 and users will be able to make use of it for ticket or food order related payments.

SwaRail App – New R-Wallet Feature
For those of you who don’t know, the SwaRail app is developed by CRIS (Centre for Railway Information Systems) and launched by the Indian Railways as a comprehensive app which consolidates all public-facing services within a single user-friendly platform. The app can be used for train ticket booking, for checking PNR status, for live train tracking, and many more.
Now, on to the newly-introduced app, the R-wallet feature has been added, enabling users to add money for seamless transactions. With R-wallet, users can make use of the added money to pay for tickets and food orders. To add, this feature is available on Android beta version v.85, in the profile or user page itself.
Speaking more, other key features that can be accessed via the SwaRail app include My Bookings for booked/cancelled ticket history, Coach Position Finder for locating the coach’s position on the platform, Rail Madad for submitting complaints or feedback, Refund Requests for simplified refund process, and Multilingual Support for setting different language preference. As of now, this app is currently in the testing phase and it is available both on the Android and iOS operating systems. After completing testing, the app will be opened to the general public for wider use.
