Union Government of India issues strict notice to WhatsApp over its sharing privacy policy

The Government of India has issued a notice to Whatsapp to remove its privacy policy within 7 days of receiving the notice. The issue is that whatever information is being shared on WhatsApp can be used by the parent company that is Facebook on its platform for advertisement related.

However, the government of India is developing its own app called Sandes app which can be competitive for WhatsApp. Currently, this is being used by the officials only and not by the public. But will open its gate to the public if everything goes out smoothly.

We believe if WhatsApp doesn’t work its way through then it may face some actions from the government of India.
