What are Google Pay Tickets?

Google has developed a new virtual game inside Google Pay that invites users to visit 30 Indian cities and win actual prizes of up to Rs 501, believing that rewards will keep users returning for more.

Google Pay India recently released its virtual game Go India, which helps users to win real money and prizes. And as it happens for these apps, not only do they want to get tickets on their own, but they’re still busy friends, family members, and also strangers, whether someone wishes to share a virtual ticket with them so that they can complete their set and be crowned ‘Go India Champion’ as the website puts it.

Go India game comes only as Facebook launched WhatsApp Pay in the country. And Google is obviously trying to make the Google Pay experience more sticky for consumers with this game. It appears to be running right now.

Yash Khandelwal, a portfolio manager who enjoyed playing the game, says, “It is fun and is a good activity to increase the consumer interaction with the platform. It is easy to start with but the difficulty faced to complete the game made it interesting.”

As soon as you open Google Pay, a question pops up, “Looking for city tickets on Go India? Pay your DTH & bills to collect city tickets to complete your journey.”

When users make purchases or give referrals, they are rewarded with tickets by the app. The plan is to collect all 30 tickets called after 30 Indian cities. Go India game is available until the 26th of December. Payment of at least Rs 30 or more must be made through the online ticket portal.

This is not the first time that Google Pay India has put users in a game. Last year, the Google Pay app launched a Diwali deal requiring users to collect stamps. The deal included users to obtain a gift of Rs 251 if they managed to collect all 5 stamps on the website. While certain stamps like the Diya, the flower, or the lantern were easy to obtain, the Rangoli stamp was the hardest to get hold of. The same is true of Google Pay’s Go India game, which has some tickets that are too hard to get hold of.

Google Pay also offers the users scratch cards after a few purchases. Again, these scratch cards offer users benefits in the form of money or coupons. Although some users just have “Better luck next time” written in their fate, Anil Sharma, who is not yet playing Go India, has recently earned a game over Rs 1400 only scratching cards after transactions.
