WhatsApp Web will now have Video and Voice Calls- Find Out More

WhatsApp, the popular messaging and social media app, is set to roll out a few new features for its desktop version, WhatsApp Web. The company will now be offering end-to-end encrypted video and voice calls on the desktop app as well.

WhatsApp has encrypted voice and video calls on the app for a while now, however, after a few beta-testing rounds in December, they are now ready to add this feature to your PCs and Mac devices as well.

However, the drawback of this new feature is that so far the calls on the desktop are only available for private chats and not group chats. While WhatsApp has promised to introduce the same for group chats; however, they haven’t provided a specific date.

The calls will be end-to-end encrypted, which means that neither Facebook nor WhatsApp will be able to have access to any data or information shared via the call.
