Arjun Tendulkar revealed his favorite player in Mumbai Indians

Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar conducted a Question and Answer session on his official Instagram account recently where he answered many interesting questions.

In one of Arjun’s interesting questions, he was asked to choose his favorite Mumbai Indian (MI) player. In response to the question, Rohit Sharma’s MI franchise, which Tendulkar was picked to lead in the IPL auctions in 2021, named Jasprit Bumrah as his favorite player.

Interestingly, Arjun’s name appeared in the players’ auction of IPL 2021, where the Mumbai franchise snapped him up at his base price of INR 20 lakh. In the cash-rich cricket league, the fast-bowling all-rounder has yet to play a single match.
MI retained Bumrah for INR 12 crores ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auctions. They also retained captain Rohit Sharma for INR 16 crore, middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav for INR 8 crore, and West Indies’ star all-rounder Kieron Pollard for INR 6 crore.

Bumrah has played 106 matches for MI and taken 130 wickets in the lucrative league at an average of 23.03 and an economy rate of 7.41.
In total, Bumrah has taken ten wickets in the history of the IPL and ranks seventh among Indian bowlers.

The Ahmedabad-born batsman has been rested for India’s white-ball series against the West Indies that begins on February 6 2022. As many as three ODIs and as many T20Is will be played in this limited-overs series against West Indies.
