CAIT joins meeting with CCI Chairman regarding investigation and action against Amazon and Flipkart

On January 23, The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) attempt a conference with the CCI Chairman Ashok Kumar respecting examination and litigation against e-commerce sites Amazon and Flipkart.

The CAIT declared Amazon and Flipkart to have satisfied in predatory rating and equity discarding through selected vendors. Moreover, CAIT announces the transfer of official mid-way, who was examining Amazon, has annoyed the industry organization in the nation.

Ahead on February 13, the CCI decreed its Director-General to survey against Amazon and Flipkart, and begged to provide a statement within 2 months. Nonetheless, the injunction was incapacitated by companies in the High Court of Karnataka and procured stayed.

Then on July 23, the Karnataka High Court provided its injunction against Amazon and Flipkart. The plea by companies was furthermore dismissed by Supreme Court on 8th August 2021, and CCI was begged to begin again its investigation.

With CAIT partners staying for the investigation to stop, they declare to have understood the announcement of the transfer of examining administrator Rajinder Kumar.

CAIT announced in a statement that In their opinion, a difference of examining administrator at such important phase of the examination will bring the evil warning and exhibit the Indian administrations in a bad light that they are exploiting under the burden of Amazon and Flipkart. Thus, rather of giving rise to any modification, CCI must shut down this examination as soon as possible.
