Malika Dua’s father Vinod Dua, a veteran journalist, has died
Mr Dua, who died at the age of 67, is survived by two daughters, comedy actress Mallika Dua and clinical psychologist Bakul Dua.
Vinod Dua, a veteran journalist, died after a long illness caused by a Covid infection, his daughter Mallika Dua reported on social media. On the recommendation of physicians, the 67-year-old journalist was transferred to Apollo Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit in Delhi last week. “Our irreverent, fearless, and magnificent father, Vinod Dua, has gone away,” Mallika Dua wrote on Instagram, adding that the funeral would take place tomorrow at midday at the Lodhi crematorium in the capital.
With stints at Doordarshan and NDTV, Mr. Dua was a pioneer in Hindi journalism. He was most recently renowned for his political comments on digital media outlets The Wire and HW News in web shows.
