When it comes to labour laws India is not going to compromise with any tech giant
It’s a new India that doesn’t let big tech giants do whatever they want to do as it happens in the rest of the countries where governments are not more than a mere puppets of tech giants. Labour laws and guidelines are strictly followed and whosoever tries to find loopholes for escape they are punished as never before. The same kind of thing happened when Google was sued for favouring its own payment mode on the play store.
But this time it’s about Amazon, a series of mass layoffs that have caused thousands of employees to lose their job in companies like Facebook, BY JU’s, and Twitter. Recently the Labour ministry got to know about the spate of resignations in Amazon. This reflects that employees are voluntarily resigning, but the question is why? Basically, as per the complaint, the employees are not given any benefit if they don’t resign voluntarily.
So with no option left they resign voluntarily. But the Ministry has asked them the reason for this and Amazon will be probed. Amazon is to stop its food delivery service in Bangalore. One of the ventures of Amazon to start online and offline classes will also stop in the coming months.
