Google announced a new domain type .ing, available for early access
Google Registry (also known as Charleston Road Registry, a company owned by Google) has announced the launch of its latest top-level domain: .ing.
Registration for the new domain has been opened as part of the early access period. Those who sign up early will have to pay an additional one-time fee. As per the 101domain Early Access Period fees start at 1.1 million dollars in the first week and will decrease weekly to 340,000, 115,000, 35,000, and 11,999 dollars.
Thereafter daily decrease in price will be seen from $3,599, $1,299, $399, $379, $169, and $149.
As per the announcement, the .ing will be available publicly at a base annual price from December 05 at 16:00 UTC.
Google has even partnered with some companies to demonstrate how domain names can be creatively registered using this new top-level domain. Canva has registered itself as design.ing. Adobe Acrobat as edit.ing and Adapt as Adapt.ing. As per the report, Google is also working on the .meme top-level domain. It will be available for early access from November 28th while for the public it will be available from December 5th.
