The next Google Tensor G4 chipset that is to be launched this year has now been spotted on the Geekbench database on a device. The performance and core specifications of the chipset has also been revealed.

Google Tensor G4 – Geekbench Listing
The upcoming Tensor G4 chipset from Google has appeared on the Geekbench database on a device codenamed – “Google Tokay”, which again has a motherboard codenamed – “Tokay”. On the Geekbench 5 benchmark platform, it has attained 1082 points and 3121 points respectively for its single core and multi core performances.
Speaking of the core architecture – this processor will be having a total of 8 cores, consisting of a 3.1 GHz Cortex X4/X5 primary core, three 2.6 GHz Cortex A7xx performance cores, and four 1.96 GHz Cortex A5xx base cores. The chipset will also be integrated with an Arm Mali G715 GPU as well. Just to add, the device listed on the database also has the Android 14 operating system onboard and an 8GB RAM capacity.

One thing should however be noted, the previous Tensor G3 chipset came with 9 CPU cores, while the the next Tensor G4 chipset has been revealed to be an octa-core processor. This does raise some questions and doubts. Furthermore, the Geekbench 5 score of the Tensor G4 chip is actually lower than the previous Tensor G3 processor’s
Regarding the expected smartphones or devices that are said to come equipped with the Tensor G4 chipset, the Pixel 9 series which will be comprising of the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro devices will probably be powered by this processor, as well as the brand’s second generation foldable device – the Pixel Fold 2. The device on the Geekbench database might be any one of these upcoming smartphones.
