Pervez Musharraf’s top controversies –
Pakistan’s former president Parvez Musharraf, who was the brain behind the 1999 Kargil conflict, has said he backs the terror group’s role in “suppressing” the Indian Army in Kashmir.
Pervez also mentioned that he supports the mastermind Saeed, (behind the Mumbai attack) involved in Kashmir.
When he was asked about his viewpoint on Chief Saeed, he mentioned that ‘I have always been in favour of an action in Kashmir and I have always been favouring for pressuring the Indian Army in Kashmir’.
However, India declared Saeed a terrorist who organised the Mumbai Terror attack in 2008 in which 166 people were dead.
To which, Musharraf denied and said, ‘LeT was involved in the Mumbai terror attack for which India blamed Pakistan.’
