IND V/S WI: K Pollard make his 100th T20I appearance on Indian soil
In Friday’s second T20I against India at the Eden Gardens, West Indies captain Kieron Pollard won the toss and elected to bowl first. In Friday’s match, Pollard will make his 100th T20I appearance for the West Indies, making him the first member of the side to reach the century mark.
“All-rounder Jason Holder replaces left-arm spin all-rounder Fabian Allen in the playing eleven,” Pollard said after winning the toss. “Dew played some part in the last match. India will be limited to a low total if we bowl first. In a one-day break, we can’t change much, so we need to continue to execute our skills.”
Rohit Sharma said his playing eleven remains the same as Wednesday’s six-wicket win. “We need to get back to basics,” Sharma said. “The outfield is lightning fast. Know the game situation. Bat freely and see what we have to do after powerplay. As a team, we want to improve in every department. Whether we win or lose, we need to improve.”
As of Friday, India leads the three-match T20I series 1-0 and needs to win the final match to win the series.
