India vs South Africa, 3rd Test: Virat Kohli’s half-century after return
On Day 1 of the ongoing third Test match between India and South Africa in Cape Town, Virat Kohli scored a gutsy half-century. Fans praised the Indian skipper for his “hard-earned” knock, which was also his second-slowest half-century in Test cricket. In the 2012-13 season, his slowest half-century came against England (171 balls). Ayaz Memon, an expert in cricket, led the reaction. He tweeted, “Hard-earned half century for #Kohli. If he converts this into a three-figure knock, it will be a tour de force given the pitch, quality of SA bowling and India’s wobbly top order batting”

Team India’s official fan club wrote, “BACK WITH A BANG! After sitting out the second Test due to an injury, Skipper Virat is back with a well-crafted 50. Go for the kill, King!”
In the meantime, the Bharat Army described it as a “well-crafted 50” and asked Kohli to “go for the kill”.

After leading India to victory in the first Test, Kohli missed the second Test due to a back spasm. KL Rahul captained the squad in the match, and India went on to lose by seven wickets.
113 runs had been scored by the visitors in the first match.
Kohli’s knock could make the difference in the series, which is currently tied at 1-1. A triple-digit score would be a nice reward for the 33-year-old.
In the ongoing third Test, India will aim for a high first innings total.
