As per the news, it claims that currently, mails are delivered by a Gurugram-based drone start-up in Gujarat’s Kutch region. a start-up situated in Gurugram TechEagle announced on Tuesday that their drone successfully delivered a mail package in Gujarat as part of a pilot operation with India Post, which might pave the way for future postal deliveries by drones.
According to the deep-tech drone technology start-up, the first such drone flight was delivered the delivery in the Kutch region of Gujarat in less than half an hour, covering a distance of 46 kilometres at a speed five times faster than surface transit.
We also came to know from the sources that last month, TechEagle unveiled the ‘VertiplaneX3,’ the country’s fastest hybrid-electric vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) 100-km range drone with a payload capacity of 3-kg and a top speed of 120 kilometres per hour.
It can take off and land vertically, just like a helicopter, from a compact 5mX5m area. The company displayed VertiplaneX3 during the recently ended Drone Mahotsav in New Delhi. According to TechEagle, the pilot project was designed to assess the operational and technological feasibility of drone delivery in the region, as well as commercial scalability. It was announced that, as a result of the success of this pilot project, mail deliveries by drone will be possible in the future.
As per Vikram Singh Meena, founder-CEO of TechEagle, the Vertiplane X3 delivered India Post mail from Habay village in Bhuj taluka to Ner village in Bhachau taluka of Kutch region in Gujarat on May 27. He described it as “exceptional” for the country’s drone delivery revolution since it was the country’s longest drone delivery in a single flight, and it was done in difficult weather conditions with winds exceeding 30 km/h.
As per the sources, Anshu Abhishek, co-founder-COO of TechEagle, stressed the importance of technology in creating actual value for society by improving access to services. TechEagle is happy to work with India Post, the world’s most widely spread postal department, to transport parcels to remote and rural locations.
Abhishek further noted that the goal of this project was to enable faster deliveries throughout the country, whether in urban areas or rural villages. The project’s findings will aid stakeholders in scaling up and commercializing mail delivery by drone across the country.
