#IndiaWantsCrypto is trending on Twitter- here’s why
#IndiaWantsCrypto, a hashtag popularised in 2018 when the Reserve Bank of India effectively banned trade in tokens like Bitcoin, is back again. This time, it’s fighting the spectre of another ban which may be considered by the government as part of ‘The Cryptocurrency and Regulation of Official Digital Currency Bill, 2021’ slated for the current session of parliament.
The hashtag is part of a wider campaign to debunk myths about cryptocurrency.
