Honor Announced AI Anti Fraud Detection Technology And AI Defocus Eye Protection Technology At MWC 2024 Shanghai
China-based tech company Honor recently announced the mobile phone industry’s first end-side AI anti-fraud detection technology at the Shanghai World Mobile Communications Conference. As per the report by the ithome, Honor CEO Zhao Ming said that the technology can automatically identify the elements of the screen in a user’s video call. The company also demonstrated the technology in which it showed the swapping of a young person’s face with an old man in real time during the video call using the deep fake. A pop-up appeared on the display that reminded the user of the suspected AI face swapping to impersonate the identity of a person.
The CEO is reported to have mentioned the fraud and deception that has increased after the deepfake and the problem a user faces in identifying such things. Along with this technology company also announced its AI Defocus Eye Protection technology that uses AI to mimic defocus glasses right on your smartphone screen. The defocus creates a slight blur in your side vision, helping you see clearly in the center. This will reduce the danger of myopia in those users who always stay stuck to the phone’s screen. Apart from announcing these technologies company is also said to have mentioned its upcoming foldable smartphone named Honor Magic V3. It is said to “challenge the new height of folding and thinness”.
